GROUP REFORMER

CLAREMONT & SEA POINT 

Our Reformer classes focus on endurance and core strength while improving the body’s stamina and agility. As the Reformer is an extremely versatile machine – we offer a variety of classes on it, ranging from beginner to classes aimed at the elite athlete.

Our Reformer Fundamental classes focus on an introduction to the machine and the grounding STOTT PILATES principles. Our Reformer Fundamentals classes are pre and postnatal friendly. Reformer Elevate is an intermediate, fast-paced class that challenges the full body. Our most intense classes are Dynamic Reformer classes – music driven and guaranteed to make you sweat! Dynamic Reformer is a strength based class focused on a combination of functional body weight movements fused together with the classical Reformer repertoire. It is recommended that you try a Fundamentals/ Elevate class prior to joining a Dynamic Reformer class.

GROUP CADILLAC PILATES

SEA POINT

Our Group Cadillac classes take place in Sea Point with 6 Cadillacs in the room.

Our Cadillac and Reformer classes are combined on the same pricing packages and are offered at the same 3 levels:

  1. Reformer/ Cadillac Fundamentals: Beginner + pre/ postnatal 
  2. Reformer/ Cadillac Elevate: Intermediate level
  3. Dynamic Reformer/ Cadillac: Advanced level

All of our Reformer and Cadillac classes are set to curated playlists. 

GROUP MAT

DYNAMIC CLASSES INCORPORATING A WIDE VARIETY OF PROPS

SEA POINT & CLAREMONT

This class is guaranteed to develop ultimate strength and stability particularly through the core, including the lumbo-pelvic region. We work in all planes of movement to ensure that your muscles are lengthening and toning three dimensionally.

Our Matwork Fundamentals classes are beginner and pre/ postnatal friendly. The Power Hour Mat classes are Intermediate/ Advanced level. Our Mat classes incorporate a wide variety of props including: foam rollers, stability balls, arc barrels, spine correctors, stability cushions, toning balls, flex bands and fitness circles.

HOT MAT

CLAREMONT

Our Hot Mat classes take place in Claremont studio, driven by Infrared heat and red light therapy.

The exercises are at an intermediate level. These are not simply our Power Hour Mat classes done in a heated environment, we have adapted the repertoire to optimise for the heat, think slower, more strength based and breath-focused work. The temperature is maintained between 27 – 33 degrees celsius throughout the class.

Unlike traditional heating methods (air, steam or radiators) that warm the room around you, infrared heaters work like sunlight – warming your body directly. This means you’ll feel a deeper, more natural heat without the heavy, stuffy air that can make exercise uncomfortable.

Because infrared warms from the inside out, your muscles loosen faster, your breathing feels easier, and your body benefits on a deeper level—all while the room itself stays at a comfortable temperature.

STRENGTH LAB

SEA POINT & CLAREMONT

Strength Lab is a low-impact strength class designed to build real, functional power. The session begins with a Pilates core and abdominal warm-up to activate and prepare the body. You’ll then move into slow, controlled and powerful functional strength training using heavy dumbbells, focusing on full-body conditioning and proper technique. The class finishes with guided mobility to restore range of motion and support recovery. Strength Lab is highly effective for improving joint stability, increasing bone density, and building strength that carries into everyday movement, without high impact on the body. It is listed on our booking app as available to ‘mixed levels’ and you could easily modify by opting for lighter dumbbells. 

BARRE

SEA POINT & CLAREMONT

Our Barre classes combine the principles of Pilates, Dance and Yoga to create a music-driven predominantly standing workout. You will move functionally to the beat of the music and strengthen the core stabilising muscles of each joint. 

Our Barre classes are offered at three levels: 

  1. Barre Fundamentals: Beginner + pre-postnatal friendly
  2. Total Barre: Intermediate 
  3. Total Barre Amplified: Advanced level, fast-paced with more compound movements and choreography.
